Who We Are

Alexi Huntley Khajavi

Director of Global Strategy Leadership Team

We were lucky to pluck Alexi from the Carl Hiaasen novel he was living in to become MercuryCSC's Director of Global Strategy. Alexi Huntley Khajavi's professional life of tropical, international intrigue began in a small beach town somewhere in Mexico when in 1982, he managed to combine a family vacation with an auspicious stint selling pipa (coconut water) to tourists. Apparently, Alexi at 10 years old was just as good in business as he is today.

Alexi parlayed his fascination with the world and its inhabitants into a job with the Communications Department for the human rights organization, Global Exchange. In a feat unattainable by most, Alexi used his BA in Anthropology and Latin American Studies working with Naturegate, championing efforts in ecotourism and sustainable development in Central and South America. He went on to help acquire Central American airline Nature Air/Nature Group and subsequently oversee its continual growth and socially responsible strategy. It was in those Costa Rican offices where MercuryCSC and Alexi met to discuss marketing Nature Air. In a lucky turn of events, Alexi decided to move back to the US with his wife and two young girls. He only agreed to work here when we promised we wouldn't ask if he can still get us coconut water.
