What Place is Close to Your Heart?

Count us among the many fans of the clothing brand Patagonia — though as marketing people, perhaps more so for the way they manage their brand than the clothes themselves. Regardless, like most fans, we’re keen to spend a few moments paging through the latest catalogue to see what cool photos they’ve found and what the wizards of Ventura are up to.
So it was our pleasure to see a piece of work we had created turn up in Patagonia’s recent Environmental Initiatives Report. Sure enough, on page 17 was a feature on the Conservation Alliance, an organization we’ve done pro-bono work for off and on over the years. “Years” being the operative word, as the video featured on that page was produced by us in 2007. While we noted how far low budget/handheld video technology has come in just the three years since (my kid can shoot some pretty good stuff with a Flip HD nowadays), it was also rewarding to see that a story well-told can stand the test of time regardless of technology.
Congrats to the Conservation Alliance for getting in the Patagonia piece and thanks for including our video!
